Cottonwood Heights police have arrested a man in Wyoming who allegedly made threats against churches in Utah.
The suspect, identified as Keith Barber, also known by the alias Troy Hire, reportedly called 911 and stated he was outside a Catholic church, armed with a knife and feeling violent towards Catholics.
Following the call, Barber fled the scene in a gray Kia Soul with a California license plate.
Police issued a warning to residents, advising them not to approach or attempt to apprehend him, citing concerns over his mental state and the possibility that he was armed and dangerous.
Barber was ultimately taken into custody in Wyoming, with police emphasizing the seriousness of the threats made against the Catholic Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
