U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has announced that Wisconsin will receive $101 million in federal funding through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program LIHEAP.
This program aids families and households with energy costs, including heating expenses for gas, electricity, and other sources.
LIHEAP funding can also be used to help low-income families weatherize their homes, improving energy efficiency and reducing costs over time.
Additionally, the program provides critical support during disasters and extreme weather to address energy emergencies.
The funding is made possible through government legislation and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, ensuring Wisconsin residents have the resources needed to stay warm and safe this winter.
