South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem criticized Mark Cuban’s remarks about former President Donald Trump during a Friday appearance on Fox News, interpreting Cuban’s words as evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is panicking.
Noem, speaking with host Sean Hannity, suggested that Cuban’s emotional” tone reflects the anxiety of those backing Harris as Trump gains traction by connecting with American voters and presenting a vision of future prosperity.
Cuban had sparked controversy after saying on The View that Trump is “intimidated” by intelligent women, a comment that received backlash. He later clarified and apologized, aiming to avoid offense among female Trump supporters.
Noem countered Cuban’s depiction, sharing her perspective on Trump’s long history of elevating women in his businesses. She recalled stories of women who, under Trump’s leadership in the ’80s and ’90s, were promoted and given substantial opportunities, contrasting this with what she described as Harris’s and other Democratic leaders’ treatment of women.
According to Noem, female voters can recognize lying and insincerity in the campaign.
Trump himself responded to Cuban’s remarks by dismissing Cuban as insecure and physically weak. The exchange between Trump and Cuban has continued to unfold on cable television as both camps push to influence public opinion ahead of the election.
