Authorities are investigating reports of mysterious drone activity in northern New Jersey, including near President-elect Trump’s golf club in Bedminster.

Several videos have captured drones flying in Somerset and Morris counties, with sightings reported on December 1, December 3, and earlier on November 25. One resident, Mike Walsh, recorded drones over Black River Middle School in Chester on November 25. In his video, he points out, I can see three drones right in this view. I see them coming right this way.

The sightings occurred just two miles north of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster and in nearby towns like Bernardsville, Mendham, and Parsippany.

The Federal Aviation Administration FAA confirmed unusual drone activity in the area starting November 18. In response, the FAA issued two temporary flight restrictions TFRs, including one over the Trump property, effective until the end of the week. Another restriction covers Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. Army research center, and will last until December 26.

The FAA emphasized that safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System is a key priority” and investigates unauthorized drone operations as needed.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is working with other agencies to investigate the incidents. The FBI Newark field office, New Jersey State Police, and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office have also been contacted for further details.
