The Harris campaign is launching a targeted ad focused on Asian American voters in Nevada, highlighting Vice President Kamala Harris’s economic platform. The ad, part of a broader strategy to mobilize key voting blocs, positions Harris as a champion for small business growth, economic opportunity, and cost-cutting measures, contrasting her approach with former President Donald Trump’s.

According to recent polling, Harris holds a two-to-one advantage among Asian American voters.

Andrew Peng, the campaign’s spokesperson for the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community, emphasized Harris’s record of support for Asian American entrepreneurs and her commitment to building an Opportunity Economy.

The ad spotlights specific policies such as lowering housing costs, banning grocery price gouging, and offering tax cuts for new businesses.

Additionally, Harris has pledged to cut red tape for small businesses and aims to facilitate 25 million new business applications during her first term, alongside providing low or no-interest loans.

The Harris campaign is investing heavily in ads, including this Nevada-specific effort to resonate with the state’s significant Asian American population nearly 12%.

It forms part of a $370 million ad push through Election Day, emphasizing Harris’s focus on eliminating taxes on tips, a key issue in Nevada’s service-driven economy.

The ad rollout extends to battleground states, with 1.3 million eligible AANHPI voters in crucial areas such as Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Harris’s campaign has also employed AANHPI-specific staff and created tailored media campaigns in swing states to reach this growing demographic.

This effort is echoed by other groups, such as the Indian Impact Fund and Future Forward leaders, who announced a $3.5 million ad campaign targeting South Asian voters, the largest of its kind. These ads will focus on key issues like the economy, abortion rights, and support for caregivers, aiming to galvanize support for Harris in swing states leading up to the election.
