Grettan “Escobar”, the notorious drug lord who was released from prison due to serious health problems, has died. However, his son in custody was also involved in his affairs and had to take a short leave to attend his father’s funeral with security. More to the point, reports suggest that the funeral procession was not held in a closed circle and that many people were present.

The 51-year-old died at noon on Saturday at a hospital in Heraklion, and his funeral was held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in a village in the vast area of Mesara.

After the funeral, her son, who is in temporary custody in a well-known case with a package from Holland, returned to prison.

Deceased was released from prison in June 2023 after applying for parole due to widespread cancer.

It may be recalled that in February 2023, he was arrested along with his 24-year-old son and a 42-year-old woman for a package of cocaine and receivers from abroad.

After a request for release from prison, an order was issued by the interrogator, which imposed restrictions in lieu of detention for the health problem he eventually ended up with.
