The Central Georgia Black Business and Community Expo is returning to Macon for its second annual event on September 21, hosted by the Central Georgia Coalition of Black Businesses and the Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages. Launched in 2023, the expo serves as a platform for Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and community members to connect, collaborate, and celebrate under the theme Together We Rise.
Charise Stephens-Merriweather, president and co-founder of the Central Georgia Coalition of Black Businesses, emphasized the expo’s role in promoting commerce, collaboration, career opportunities, and cultural celebration. In its inaugural year, the event attracted thousands of attendees from across Georgia, and many small businesses were launched with free demonstrations and discounts.
This year’s event promises to be even bigger, featuring special guests like finance expert Ash Cash Exantus, real estate agent Jimmy Jones, and stars from Oprah Winfrey Network’s Love & Marriage Huntsville,” Marsau and Latisha Scott. A live performance by Georgia’s legendary artist Pastor Troy, workshops on artificial intelligence, and panels on business growth and community empowerment will also be part of the program.
The expo, which is free and open to all ages, will be held at the Macon Coliseum from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vendor spots and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
