An Alabama woman, Shanice Chante Davison, was arrested on December 5, 2024, after allegedly kidnapping her three children at a bus stop in Virginia. The children, aged 6, 8, and 10, were unharmed when she was captured near Birmingham, Alabama, after a short chase on I-459.

Davison, 35, from Evergreen, was taken into custody by Alabama state troopers and U.S. Marshals. Two other adults were in the car, though they were not identified.

The kidnapping was reported at around 8:27 a.m. on Thursday when Davison took her children from a bus stop in Fishersville, Virginia. An AMBER Alert was issued, and authorities soon tracked her down, believing she was heading back to Alabama.

Davison faces felony abduction charges in Virginia and was also booked for being a fugitive from justice. Authorities praised the quick action of law enforcement and the cooperation across state lines, ensuring the children’s safety.
