Mackenzie Evland, a Louisburg High School senior, recently took first runner-up at the Miss Teen Kansas Teen USA pageant. The pageant, which was last weekend on the campus of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, featured contestants from throughout the state. Eveland earned the chance to compete after the audience selected her as top model at a fashion show in Overland Park. Eveland, a model with the Hoffman International Talent Agency in Overland Park, also took home the pageant award for top swimsuit.
