Louisburg Library is welcoming its patrons this weekend by hosting two events.

The first, the Friends of the Library book sale, begins Friday.

More than 4,000 books, movies, audio books and music items will be available for purchase by patrons throughout the two-day event.
The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Fox Hall, 201 S. Broadway St., right across the street from the library.

After noon Saturday, items are free.

Also on Saturday, the library is celebrating National Craft Month by hosting a craft day.

Crafters — woodworkers, scrapbookers, quilters, artists, stampers and jewelry makers to name a few — are invited to come to the library from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday for the craft day event.

The day will feature crafters who choose to bring their crafts to show at the library. The day will feature artists sharing their projects with others, discovering new craft ideas, talking with other crafters and creating a bookmark to take home.

The program is free and open to the public, but crafters who wish to show their wares are asked to sign up ahead of time by calling the library at 837-2217.
