The Louisburg boys delivered in a big way Friday in Eudora.

Not only did the Wildcats snap a two-game losing skid, they captured their first Frontier League victory with a 60-43 win over the Cardinals, and more importantly, gained some confidence for their stretch run.

Louisburg (8-6) found itself down 15-4 in the first quarter, and it appeared it was headed for a third-straight loss. However, the Wildcat defense responded.

The Wildcats forced 26 turnovers on the night to spur a rally and converted 12 of their final 13 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

The girls contest Thursday turned out just the opposite for Louisburg.

Eudora handed the Lady Cats their worst loss of the season with a 50-33 victory and the Wildcats are now 11-3 on the year. Louisburg held a 12-6 lead at the end of the first quarter, but fell apart in the second half.

Look for complete wrap-ups of both games in Wednesday's edition of the Herald.
