  They tapped their feet, played their guitars and sang their hearts out Friday morning at Broadmoor Elementary School and Louisburg Middle School. Dozens of students performed in each of the two schools' talent shows held the last day of classes before holiday break. And parents came out to watch their children shine in the spotlight. With video cameras rolling and digital cameras flashing for each performance, students — many dressed in holiday-themed costumes — showed off their skills for packed crowds.
