A 29-year-old Paola man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday north of Somerset. Michael Anderson was killed in the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Kansas Highway 68 and Somerset Road, according to a news release from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. Officials from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, Miami County Emergency Medical Services and the Louisburg Fire Department responded to the scene at 12:45 a.m., where they found a vehicle on fire. The vehicle apparently crashed into a rock wall embankment, according to the news release. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The complete accident report was not available at press time. The accident remains under investigation. No further details on the wreck have been released by the sheriff’s office.
